Kansas Silver Hair Legislator Bi-Annual Meeting

Ross calls the Ex-Board officers Bi-Annual meeting to order\nat 2:45pm. Secretary Donna Lehane does a roll call for certification of quorum.\nWe have a quorum for those in attendance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ross asks for approval of the agenda, Donna Lehane motions\nand Chuck Schmidt approves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There is NO Old Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Floor is open for nominations for President and Jay Rowh\nPSA-8 nominates Ross Boelling PSA-8 and Donna Lehane 2nd<\/sup> the\nnomination. Chuck Schmidt motions to cease nominations and it\u2019s 2nd<\/sup>,\nRoss is approved as President. Ross speaks to those in attendance of his past,\nhis Fire Marshall experience and that he\u2019s looking forward to working with\neveryone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ross opens the floor for nominations of 1st<\/sup> Vice President; Donna Lehane nominates Katy Hoffman and Gary Scott PSA-11 2nd<\/sup> the nomination. Nominations cease and Katy is approved as 1st<\/sup> Vice President. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ross opens the floor for nominations of 2nd<\/sup> Vice\nPresident and Donna Lehane nominates Thomas Gordon PSA-1 and Gary Scott 2nd<\/sup>\nthe nomination. Gary motions that nominations cease, Donna 2nd<\/sup> and\nGordon is approved as 2nd<\/sup> Vice President.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Secretary Donna Lehane swears in the newly elected officers.\nRoss as President appoints and swears in Secretary Donna Lehane and Treasure\nGary Scott.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ross discusses positions of committee Chairs and Vice Chairs\nand how he\u2019s appointed each to their positions. Chairs and Vice Chairs can\nappoint the rest of their committee. He has a separate attachment of these\nduties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ross brings up the fact we\u2019ve lost and need to get back our\n5013C status. Gary Scott tells us he has been working with a CPA firm and a\nletter has been mailed to the IRS. It was mailed back in October 2020 and he\u2019s\nnot heard anything back on it. Gary tells Ross he\u2019ll email a copy of the letter\nthat was sent. The CPA firm has not charged us anything yet as they work with\nthese types of situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A July 15th<\/sup> meeting is discussed, tentative in\nSalina at the Library from 10:00am to 4:00pm. More information to follow on\nthis meeting once it\u2019s checked into.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ross would like ALL PSA Chairs to get their resolutions into\nhim no later than two (2) weeks before the July meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jay Rowh suggests that we follow up on the October meeting,\nmoving to the Hilton, checking with school bus services and any other issues\nsurrounding this meeting. Randall brings up the Cap Plaza Hotel. There is a lot\nof discussions on where to stay. Ross delegates this to the committee and that\u2019\nthe Hilton has already been reserved. Jay will report back more on this in our\nJuly meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Donna Lehane motions to adjourn, it\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> and\nmeeting is adjourned at 3:18pm \u2013 approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Donna M.
